Pet(s) of the Week: This week, two dogs went to their forever homes

This morning, Whiskey, or gentle giant, topping off at 102 pounds, went home to his dad, mom, and 1 1/2-year-old human sister. He had nothing but love for everyone at the radio center, and you can tell he loves his new dad so much. Luna also went home today – but we didn’t have to look far for her new mom. She will be living her best life with Illini Media Group’s VP/General Manager, Jamie Ulrey.

Pet of the Week: Meet Holly; so soft and vocal and loves human touch

Holly is a zoomie queen who loves to dart around and play to her heart’s content. She might start off a little shy, but don’t let that fool you—she’s got a sassy streak that keeps the other cats on their toes!   Holly loves to be around people and would probably prefer to be the only cat in the house–so she can get all the attention. Pet of the Week: Meet Luna, the dog who loves everyone and everything (and she’s small)

Luna is a cuddly, one-year old Patterdale/Terrier mix.  She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and weighs a mere 16 lbs. Luna loves people, loves to cuddle and does well with other dogs, cats and children.  Luna is the whole package. Foster to adopt is always an option to see if Luna is a good fit with your family and lifestyle.

Pet of the Week: Meet Bandit, the affectionate, purring machine

Bandit is a young, 1 1/2-year-old, male, domestic short-haired cat.  He’s a handsome, friendly tuxedo cat and seems pretty chill.   Bandit came from Sangamon County Animal Control with some of his housemates (Hershey, Tilly and KitKat).

Baby is a spayed female beagle/healer mix.  She’s two years old, very loyal and loves walking and running. She visited the WIXY 100.3 studio this morning, thanks to our friends at Hoveln Heating and Cooling, Inc., and gave out a lot of hugs.

McFlurry came to visit Duane Shannon at WIXY 100.3. this morning in the studio. McFlurry is a BIG BOY – somewhere between 18-20 pounds. He is a six-year old, medium-long haired, gentle, gray cat.

PET OF THE WEEK: Meet Tony, the beautiful tabby who wants to sit in the sun

Tony is a handsome and curious young tabby who is getting used to the good life indoors. He loves playing with his siblings, chasing after toys, and finding the perfect sunny spot for a nap. While he’s still learning to fully trust people, he’s already showing his sweet and affectionate side. With a little patience and plenty of playtime, Tony will make a wonderful companion who will bring joy to his forever home.
