CHAMPAIGN, IL (CHAMBANA TODAY)- Meet Tamela, a lady as unique as her name! This gorgeous 4 year old shepherd mix has all the qualities of a forever best friend as has been described as a good listener, sweet, smart, and photogenic! Though she may be shy at first, once she decides you’re her friend she is putty in your hands. Although Tamela aims to be your bestie for the restie, she can only go to a home with children over 15 to give her the best shot with her new family. If you’re ready to meet the best treat vacuum to ever exist, come meet Miss Tamela at CCHS today!

Tamela is a STAFF FAVORITE pet! Here’s what adoption staff member, Brandi has to say about her:
Did you know that Tamela is incredibly smart? She knows sit, down, paw, and spin! Tamela is eager to please for just a few treats! Tamela is very shy and took a bit longer than most dogs to warm up to the staff, but once she did, she was ready to show us her playful and goofy side! This just means that Tamela will likely be very shy once she meets a new person for the first time. A little time, patience, and treats will go a long way in gaining her trust! If you were to come in and view her in her kennel, she will likely seem very intimidating by barking and jumping on her kennel door, but she really just wants her space to be hers. Please consider giving Tamela a chance to show you just how great she is, she is honestly the sweetest girl.
