UPDATE: PET OF THE WEEK: Cody has gone to his fur-ever home!

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – If your home is in need of a people-pup, the Champaign County Humane Society (CCHS) has the perfect pal for you.

Meet Cody.  He’s a happy two-year old Terrier-Pit Bull mix, weighing in at a modest 52.3 pounds.  While he’s spent the majority of his young life at the CCHS, he is ready to become part of a loving family where he’s the top dog.  While Cody loves his people-friends, he’s got to be the only dog in your home.

Cody is one of CCHS’s long-term dog residents, meaning he has been available for adoption for more than 90 days.  Cody is also a staff favorite at CCHS.  Meredith, one of CCHS’s adoption staff members tells us a little bit about this bundle of love.

“Cody is our shelter’s longest resident, having arrived in July 2023. Cody is the kind of fearless, happy dog that doesn’t seem to mind being in a shelter. He is excited every day when his friends come to greet him. Cody doesn’t know how to feel anything but joyful! He loves to play and enjoys games by himself and with friends,” she shares. “As long as he has food to eat, toys to play with, and people to take him for walks, give him treats, and tell him what a handsome lad he is, Cody feels like a king. Imagine how happy he would be if he had a home of his own! If Cody had people and a place all his own, he’d be over the moon! Come meet our happy boy, who will be especially happy to see you!”

For more information on Cody and how to adopt, visit the Champaign County Humane Society today.
