In her first year as a nominee, Lainey Wilson is the most nominated artist, with six nominations. Lainey is the forth artist in the history of the CMAs to earn six nominations in her first year. The other artists to accomplish this were Glen Campbell, Brad Paisley and Kacey Musgraves. Lainey’s nominations include New Artist, Female vocalist and album of the year

This year’s nominees for Entertainer of the Year are Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen, Carrie Underwood and Chris Stapleton. The CMA Awards wil be handed out on November 9.


Thomas Rhett had to take a 10 day break from his Bring The Bar To You Tour for doctor mandated vocal rest due to swollen vocal cords. After his last trip to the doctor, he has been cleared to return to the road. Thomas Rhett said that’s the quietest he’s been in a decade.

Blake Shelton has announced his tour plans for the new year. He will hit the road for 18 shows next winter and spring, beginning February 16. The Back to the Honky Tonk Tour will include Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean and will make a stop in Indianapolis on March 11.
