The CMT Music Awards will be making a move in 2022. Moving to a new network, and an earlier date. CBS will broadcast the show on April 3. The move to a major network comes after the CMT Music Awards saw a 10 percent increase in total viewership this year. CBS decided to move the show to April to replace the ACM Awards that will be moving to a new network.

Darius Rucker says there was a night while on tour with Rascal Flatts that he thought for sure whe was going to jail.  After the show, Darius took off in a golf cart with Joe Don Rooney and Gary LeVox.  They started to cross a highway in the golf cart when they saw flashing red a blue lights. Darius and Joe Don actually took off and left Gary to talk to the police but it turned out fine for all of them.
