Reba McEntire is heading back to television. She has been cast in the lead role in a new NBC drama based on the movie and novel, Fried Green Tomatoes. Reba will also serve as executive producer.

The Billboard Music Awards were handed out last night. Luke Combs took home the awards for Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist and Top Country Album. Maren Morris was named Top Country Female Artist. Top Country Duo/Group went to Dan + Shay. George Strait beat out Eric Church and Florida Georgia Line for Top Country Tour. Garth Brooks performed a medley of his hits last night at the Billboard Music Awards and became the ninth artist to win the Billboard Icon Award.
