Riley Green and Tenille Townes were surprised this morning with the news that they have the the ACM New Male and New Female Artist of the Year award.  Keith Urban interrupted Riley’s Zoom meeting with label executives to give him the news. Tenille thought she was about to do an interview over Zoom when Keith popped up on her monitor instead.  Keith will host the 55th ACM Awards on September 16.

Pretty Heart singer, Parker McCollum, has tested positive for COVID-19.  After he woke up and realized he couldn’t taste or smell anything, Parker was tested.  He had a couple of socially distance, mask mandated shows planned for this week that had to be canceled.

Eli Young Band brought in a legendary guest for a remake of their song Saltwater Gospel, which appears on their 2017 album, Fingerprints. They aren’t saying who the artist is but have offered up some clues. He has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and embarked on more than 45 tours. He’s not just a talented musician, he is also a best selling author.  We’ll find out who it is when the Eli Young Band releases the song tomorrow.
