Vermilion County Animal Shelter hosts adult prom to benefit shelter animals

DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – The Vermilion County Animal Shelter, in partnership with the Vermilion County Animal Shelter Foundation, is hosting a special adult prom on April 5, to raise funds for the animals in their care. The event promises an evening of music, dancing, and fun while supporting a worthy cause.

The prom will take place from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. at the Turtle Run Banquet Center, located at 332 East Liberty Lane in Danville. Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere, with a DJ spinning tunes, a professional photographer on hand to capture memories, and a silent auction featuring various items. While prom attire is encouraged, it is not mandatory.

Ticket Information:

  • General Admission: $50 per person or $75 per couple
  • Law Enforcement Personnel: $30 per person or $50 per couple
  • Table Reservation for Businesses: $360 for a table of eight
  • Ticket Sales End: March 23, 2025

Tickets include admission and appetizers, with alcohol available for purchase separately. Tickets can be purchased at the Vermilion County Animal Shelter (14775 Catlin Tilton Road, Danville), or online by making a donation at Vermilion County Animal Shelter Donation Page. Be sure to specify in the donation form that the funds are for prom ticket purchase.

All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting the animals at the shelter, including funding for spay and neuter programs, heartworm treatment, medical and emergency support, supplies, rescue transportation, and adoption events. The Vermilion County Animal Shelter Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, ensuring that all donations directly benefit the shelter animals.
