Three suspects wanted for retail theft at Champaign Meijer

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign County Crime Stoppers is seeking assistance from the public regarding a retail theft.

Three subjects entered the Meijer at 2401 North prospect Avenue in Champaign on January 17 at approximately 8:10 p.m. The three split up and each grabbed merchandise before meeting back up together and heading for the exit. They made no attempt to stop and pay and loss prevention staff recovered $1700.00 in merchandise. They fled with additional items at $1000.00.

The police are currently seeking the public’s assistance with the supects which were captured on video. The suspects are described as two black males and one white female all appearing to be 26 to 35 years old. They left in a black Dodge coupe with tinted windows.

  • Suspect 1: Male, 5’10” to 6’02” tall, wearing a black hat, black jacket, black shirt, and blue jeans
  • Suspect 2: Male, 5’03” to 5’09” tall, wearing a black hat, black head mask, black puffy coat, and black pants
  • Suspect 3: Female, 5’03” to 5’09” tall with red hair, wearing a gray hoodie with a pink design and blue jeans
