HUDSON, IL (Chambana Today) — For youth living with epilepsy, summer can now mean ziplining, horseback riding, archery, and making new friends—safely. CamPossible, the summer camp for children and teens affected by epilepsy, is returning for 2026 at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center in Hudson, Illinois, from August 5–7.

The camp, organized by the Epilepsy Advocacy Network (EAN), serves children ages 7–20 and provides options for independent cabin living or family participation. Activities are designed to build confidence, foster self-sufficiency, and offer a supportive environment for young people who understand the challenges of living with epilepsy.

“Campers have a chance to enjoy all the fun of summer camp while connecting with peers who truly understand their experiences,” said Kari Jones, EAN executive director. “It’s a judgment-free space where kids and families can feel safe and supported.”

Camp activities include boating, arts and crafts, and traditional camp favorites—all with safety accommodations in place. Spots are still available, and families can apply online. The two-night camp costs $100 per person, and financial assistance is available. Donations are also welcome to help sponsor campers.
