CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – A man was stabbed in an incident on Saturday morning near the 800 block of Crescent Drive. The Champaign Police Department responded to a report of an armed suspect at approximately 11:28 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the male victim, who had suffered a stab wound.
According to Joe Lamberson, Assistant to the Chief of Police for Community Services, officers administered immediate medical aid before the victim was transported to a local hospital. Thankfully, the victim is in stable condition. The suspect was apprehended at the scene, though authorities have not disclosed what charges the individual may face. The investigation is ongoing.
