South Broadway Street to be closed for construction

URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) — The Urbana Public Works Department shared that South Broadway Avenue would be closed from Main Street to Elm Street for construction. The closure will include the Elm Street intersection. A map of the affected area can be seen below.

Closures will start from Monday, March 23 at 6 a.m. until Wednesday, April 8 at 5 p.m. Contractors from Illinois American Water will perform work along South Broadway during this time. MTD stops for Lincoln Square will be moved from the intersection of South Broadway Avenue & Elm Street to South Broadway Avenue & Illinois Street.

Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas.
