Shine the Block: monthly community event brings food, fun, and resources to Country Brook

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Families in the Country Brook area are invited to attend the next Shine the Block community event, set for Friday, February 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Y on the Fly, 2422 W. Springfield Avenue.

The monthly event is designed to bring neighbors together, provide essential resources, and offer fun activities for children. Attendees can enjoy a warm meal, groceries or other items to take home, and participate in mini-workshops. This month’s focus is a community conversation, where residents can share ideas and ask for support from local organizations.

The event is part of a broader partnership between Country Brook Apartments, Y on the Fly, First Followers, Our Tech, and other community organizations. Residents interested in volunteering or contributing to future events can reach out via admin@h3harmhealinghope.org.
