CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — The American Red Cross has teamed up with Life is Good to encourage community members to give blood during a special donation campaign running from March 30 through April 12, 2026.

As part of the effort, individuals who donate blood, platelets or AB Elite plasma during the campaign will receive an exclusive Red Cross and Life is Good T-shirt, while supplies last. Organizers say the promotion is designed to highlight the positive impact donors can have on patients in need.

Blood donations play a critical role in supporting hospitals and emergency care, and officials say each donation carries “positive energy” that can help save lives and support recovery.

The Red Cross is also reminding donors to prepare ahead of their appointments. Recommended steps include eating a healthy meal with iron-rich foods such as eggs, meat and spinach, getting a full night’s sleep and drinking extra water before donating.

Appointments can be scheduled through the Red Cross, and community members are encouraged to participate and help maintain a stable blood supply.
