Red Cross encourages blood donations during National Preparedness Month with exclusive PEANUTS® gifts

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — As part of National Preparedness Month, the American Red Cross is encouraging community members to donate blood and platelets — a lifesaving act that helps ensure blood is ready for patients in times of crisis.

To thank donors, the Red Cross is offering exclusive Red Cross x PEANUTS® merchandise while supplies last. Those who donate blood now through September 21 will receive a mystery gift bag with one of four limited-edition Snoopy-themed T-shirts. From September 22 to October 5, platelet donors will receive a Joe Cool sweatshirt, featuring Snoopy in his iconic sunglasses.

Appointments can be scheduled online at RedCrossBlood.org, through the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
