PET(S) OF THE WEEK: Meet the purring duo taking over the WIXY 100.3 studios

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — This week’s Pet of the Week came straight from Moore’s Rescue Ranch to the WIXY 100.3 studios, where two adorable kittens stole the show.

Kim brought Freddy and Howie Mandell to meet the Illini Media Group team — and listeners got a live dose of kitten charm. Freddy, named (we think) after Freddie Mercury, was a loud, happy purrer, instantly making everyone smile. Howie Mandell, curious and adventurous, spent most of his time exploring… until Duane from WIXY 100.3 gave him a gentle pet:

“These two are full of personality and love,” said Kim from Moore’s Rescue Ranch. “Freddy will purr in your lap all day, and Howie just needs a little patience before he becomes your best friend.”

Both kittens are available for adoption through Moore’s Rescue Ranch. For more information or to meet them, visit Moore’s Rescue Ranch.

We also want to extend our thanks to our Pet of the Week sponsor, Curtis Road Animal Hospital, for helping make this feature possible. Learn more about their services at Curtis Road Animal Hospital.

Pick one up. Be seduced by its glossy cover. Gaze upon the impossibly muscular body clad in a skin-tight suit. Our hero or heroine will surely be soaring, shouting, blasting a villain into next week. They are ridiculous. They are addictively great. Comic books, of the superhero variety, are 100% American.
