CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Parkland College celebrated its graduating class Thursday with two separate commencement ceremonies at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, marking a milestone for the college as it hosted its first-ever dedicated Health Professions Commencement and Pinning ceremony.

The Health Professions ceremony took place at 2 p.m. and honored graduates from all health profession programs, including those in certificates under 24 credit hours who had not previously been eligible to participate. The ceremony included a traditional pinning component alongside a keynote speaker and student speaker.

The Arts and Sciences and Career and Technical Education ceremony followed at 7 p.m., celebrating graduates from all arts and sciences, general studies, and career and technical education programs. That ceremony followed the structure of previous Parkland commencement ceremonies, also featuring keynote and student speakers.

Both ceremonies were open to graduates from the fall 2025, spring 2026, and summer 2026 classes.
