Oakwood man arrested for overnight burglary of Danville bar

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — On August 18, at around 5:10 a.m., police officers with the Danville Police Department’s patrol division responded to Snapper’s Bar & Grill to respond to a report of a burglary that had just occurred.

Detectives immediately started an investigation into the matter when they arrived at the business, located at 332 East Liberty Lane in Danville, and identified the suspect as David Finley of Oakwood.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Finley’s arrest on Friday, August 22, and located him earlier today at around 2:07 p.m. Finley attempted to flee on foot from the officer that found him, but was taken into custody a short time later.

Finley was brought to the Vermilion County Jail and booked on his warrant.
