URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) — Courage Connection has announced that Katie Harmon will become the organization’s next Executive Director, with an expected start date of March 23, 2026. Harmon’s recent role as Continuum of Care Coordinator with the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission brings valuable experience in community advocacy and leadership to her new position.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Harmon has also served as Interim Executive Director of Courage Connection in 2013 and 2014, gaining a unique perspective as a leader, direct service provider, and domestic violence survivor. Her personal and professional experiences position her to effectively lead the organization and advocate for its mission.

Outgoing Interim Executive Director Matthew Fletcher will continue to serve as Director of Development and Outreach after March 23rd. The Courage Connection Board of Directors expresses gratitude for Fletcher’s leadership during this transitional period and looks forward to his ongoing contributions.
