Illinois to face Washington in midday showdown on Big Ten Network

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Illinois football team will travel to Washington for a highly anticipated Big Ten matchup on Saturday, Oct. 25. Kickoff for the game will be at 2:30 p.m. CT, and it will be broadcast on Big Ten Network, the conference office and television partners announced Sunday.

Illinois (5-2, 2-2 Big Ten) will meet Washington (5-2, 2-2 Big Ten) for the 12th time in the two schools’ history, and for the first time as conference opponents. The Huskies have won four consecutive games in the series, including the Illini’s last trip to Seattle in 2014.

Washington is coming off a tough 24-7 loss to Michigan on Saturday, while Illinois enjoyed a bye this past weekend. This game is part of a full slate of Big Ten matchups on Saturday, with additional games scheduled as follows:

  • 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT/9 a.m. PT
    UCLA at Indiana – FOX (previously announced)
    Rutgers at Purdue – BTN (previously announced)
    Northwestern at Nebraska – FS1

  • 3:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. CT/12:30 p.m. PT
    Minnesota at Iowa – CBS
    Illinois at Washington – BTN

  • 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT
    Wisconsin at Oregon – FS1

  • 7:30 p.m. ET
    Michigan at Michigan State – NBC (previously announced)
