SPRINGFIELD, IL (Chambana Today) – In anticipation of a sold-out crowd, the Illinois State Fair will open its Grandstand gates at 6 p.m. — two hours early — on Sunday, August 10 for the highly anticipated Megan Moroney concert. The show itself is still scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

“We love the energy and excitement of a sold-out show,” said Rebecca Clark, Illinois State Fair manager. “With thousands of people funneling in, allowing a little extra time to get everyone through the gates will help things flow smoothly.”

Concertgoers are encouraged to:

  • Arrive early
  • Download their digital ticket in advance
  • Travel light to ease the security check process

A pre-show party kicks off at 4:30 p.m., with tickets still available at Ticketmaster.com. Pre-show attendees with valid concert tickets will be the first allowed onto the track.

Additionally, Hunter Flynn will perform at 7 p.m. on the Illinois Lottery Grandstand Stage, warming up the crowd before Megan Moroney takes the spotlight. The 2025 Illinois State Fair runs August 7–17 in Springfield.
