Horizon Health offering Safe Sitter babysitting class for preteens in June

PARIS, IL (Chambana Today) — Horizon Health is offering a Safe Sitter class for boys and girls ages 11 to 13 on Monday, June 8, at its Education Center at 15197 US Highway 150 in Paris.

The class runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and covers home-alone safety skills, child development, age-appropriate activities, personal safety, and the basics of babysitting as a job. Safe Sitter is a nationally recognized program designed to prepare young people to care for themselves, younger siblings, or other children.

The cost is $50 per person, which includes materials and lunch. Parents are not required to stay during the class. Registration closes Monday, June 1, at 5 p.m. at MyHorizonHealth.org/Classes. For more information, call 217-466-4333.
