URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) — Good Judys Espresso & Bagel Bar is launching a new community event series this summer along the Philo Road corridor in southeast Urbana.

“Summer at The Pines” runs May through September and features a range of free, recurring events including outdoor fitness classes, dog-friendly socials, group bike rides, car meetups, and drag performances. A ticketed drag brunch is also planned, with details to be announced.

“We’ve heard for years that people want to see more activity and community life along Philo Road, and we felt like instead of waiting for that to happen, we could start building it ourselves,” the shop said in a statement. “Summer at The Pines is about creating space for people to gather — whether that’s over coffee, movement, art, or just spending time together.”

The series is supported by local sponsors Guth & Associates, Fairlawn, and RedFire CPA. May event details are available now, with a full summer schedule coming soon at the following page.
