Five injured in two separate Danville shootings over three days

DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) — Danville police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred within three days of each other, leaving five people injured.

The first incident occurred Thursday, May 1, at approximately 4:26 p.m. in the 600 block of East Williams Street. Two juveniles were shot while walking with a third person, who was not injured. Both were transported to a local hospital and listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made in that case.

The second shooting occurred Saturday, May 3, at approximately 10:53 a.m. in the 900 block of Lewis Lane. Officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired and arrived to find three individuals with gunshot wounds — a 19-year-old, an 18-year-old, and a 17-year-old. All three were transported to a local hospital and listed in stable condition. No further information has been released in that case.
