CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Epic Burger, located at 1305 S. Neil Street in Champaign, is inviting the community to participate in an initiative in honor of Hallie Grossman, the daughter of the CEO who passed away. The event is designed to “spread kindness and joy through random acts of goodwill.” From February 14 to February 25, 2025, Epic Burger and The Hallie225 Foundation are teaming up to celebrate Hallie’s legacy, encouraging people to perform acts of kindness and share them for a chance to win a year’s worth of free Epic Burger meals.

Hallie Grossman, whose life was tragically cut short, is remembered for her mission to inspire kindness, silliness, and positivity. In tribute to her, Epic Burger owner David Grossman and his family have launched this campaign to continue Hallie’s work, inviting others to embrace “the Hallie way” of living — one defined by compassion, inclusion, and joy.

“We want to honor Hallie’s incredible legacy by encouraging others to spread kindness in everyday life,” said David Grossman. “Hallie always believed that small acts of kindness could make a big difference, and this campaign is a way for us to continue her mission while giving back to the community she loved.”

How to Participate:

To get involved, participants are encouraged to perform a random act of kindness, helpfulness, or love during the campaign period. Acts can range from paying for someone’s meal to offering a helping hand to a neighbor in need. Once the act is completed, participants should share it on social media with a photo, video, or description and tag their local Epic Burger location, @TheHallie225Foundation, @TheEpicBurger, and use the hashtag #theHallieWay. Alternatively, entries can be emailed to hallie225.org@gmail.com.

Each of Epic Burger’s 11 locations will select one lucky participant to win an epic prize: Epic Burger for a year. The winner will receive $20 in Epic Burger gift cards every week for 52 weeks, totaling a full year of meals.

In addition to the kindness campaign, Epic Burger will celebrate Hallie’s birthday on February 25 with a special promotion: customers can enjoy $2.25 burgers at all locations, with proceeds going to support the Hallie225 Foundation, a nonprofit that continues Hallie’s mission of spreading love, inclusivity, and kindness.
