COLES COUNTY, IL (Chambana Today) – A single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 57 in Coles County left one driver injured and temporarily shut down the southbound lanes near Arcola.

Illinois State Police Troop 7 responded to the crash at approximately 5:22 p.m. on Thursday at milepost 197. Authorities reported that the driver sustained injuries severe enough to require an airlift to a regional hospital. Following the crash, traffic was diverted to Exit 203 in Arcola while emergency crews worked at the scene. The southbound lanes were closed for about 40 minutes before being reopened to traffic.
