Danville Fire Department celebrates promotions at swearing-in ceremony

Danville, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Danville Fire Department proudly recognized two of its own during a formal Swearing-In Ceremony held Tuesday morning at Danville City Hall. Firefighter Broc Atwood was officially promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, and Lieutenant David Jones was elevated to the rank of Captain.

Mayor Rickey Williams Jr. led the ceremony, commending both men for their dedication, leadership, and service to the Danville community.

Lieutenant Atwood has served with the Danville Fire Department with distinction, earning respect among his peers for his professionalism and strong work ethic. Captain Jones, a veteran of the department, brings years of experience and steady leadership to his new role.
