Crimestoppers seeking help from community in retail theft in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Champaign County Crimestoppers is seeking assistance from the public regarding a retail theft.

On March 3, at around 5:52 p.m., two females entered the TJ Maxx at 21 East Marketview Drive in Champaign and selected and concealed multiple sets of Nike and Jordan brand kids clothing. The females fled the scene with nearly $550 of stolen merchandise. The two suspects are pictured below.

Police seek the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects captured on video. The suspects were described as one White and one Black female. The white female had long brown hair and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and the black female was wearing a black puffy coat. The suspects fled the area in a newer black Escalade.
