CHAMPAIGN, IL. (Chambana Today) — The Illinois Men’s Rugby Club, local nonprofit DREAAM, and Perkins Restaurant are hosting a Community Blood Drive & Family Fun Event on Wednesday, May 6, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Perkins Restaurant parking lot.

The event combines life-saving blood donations with family-friendly activities including a Touch-A-Truck experience, free face painting, popcorn and cotton candy, and live music. Families can also enjoy a special dining offer: kids 12 and under eat free from the kid’s menu with the purchase of an adult meal.

Debo, an advisor for the rugby club and member of DREAAM’s Board of Directors, emphasizes that the event is a chance to give back to the community while having fun. “Every blood donation can save lives. We hope to see families and friends come together for a meaningful evening,” said Debo.

Those interested in donating blood can sign up online here.
