Champaign Salvation Army to honor volunteers in night of awards

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Champaign’s Salvation Army will hold an event next week to recognize and honor its volunteers.

The annual appreciation event will recognize those who generously give their dedication and time to help the Salvation Army serve its neighbors.

While the Salvation Army’s red kettles have been shelved for the season, the spirit of local volunteers and their generosity and service to others is set to be recognized on Tuesday, February 10. The event will take place at The Salvation Army in Champaign, located at 2212 North Market Street, from 7-8 p.m.

“The Salvation Army of Champaign County’s Annual Volunteer Celebration aims to show gratitude to volunteers who give their time, talents, and hearts to help The Salvation Army serve those who need it most in our community,” a release said.
