CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign Police Department is offering a free steering wheel lock program.

This program will enhance vehicle security for Kia and Hyundai vehicle owners. The program aims to prevent vehicle theft and give car owners peace of mind. The program is located at the Champaign Police Department and is first come, first served. People eligible are owners of Kia vehicles manufactured from 2011 to 2021 and Hyundai vehicles manufactured between 2013 and 2021 regardless of their residence.

To claim their free steering wheel lock, owners must visit the CPD Front Desk and provide proof of ownership.
