Champaign Police Department announces five graduates from Police Training Institute

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — On Friday, the Champaign Police Department announced five graduates from the Police Training Institute who would be joining the CPD.

Mitchell Gallier, Henry Johnson, Trevor Keeling, Tyler Rivelli, and Blake Shotts graduated on Thursday, December 18, and will now partake in field training. This period consists of 20 weeks of training in which the officers apply their basic law enforcement training and learn the specialized skills it takes to work at the CPD.

CPD’s release included a special congratulations to Johnson, who served as one of six squad leaders during his time at the academy.
