Champaign County voters offered early voting options ahead of March 17 primary

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Champaign County election officials are reminding voters of multiple options to cast their ballots ahead of the March 17 Illinois primary election. Early in-person voting for the primary began on February 5 and will continue through March 16, the day before Election Day. Voters may cast their ballots in person at designated early voting sites across the county during published hours.

In addition to early in-person voting, mail-in ballots may be requested beginning February 5 and must be applied for by March 12. Returned mail-in ballots must be postmarked by Election Day under state law.

On March 17, polling places will open for traditional Election Day voting. Voters are encouraged to check their registration status, find their polling locations, and plan when and where to vote by visiting the Champaign County Clerk’s website.
