Bingo fundraiser to support Catholic Charities services in Champaign and Piatt counties

SAVOY, IL (Chambana Today) — Catholic Charities of Champaign and Piatt Counties will host a fundraising bingo night Saturday, Feb. 7, at Elks Lodge No. 2497 in Savoy to support its expanding services for individuals and families in need.

The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the lodge, located at 903 N. Dunlap Ave., behind Old Orchard. Doors open at 5 p.m., with 10 bingo games beginning at 6 p.m. The cost to play is $30, with bingo daubers available for $3 or participants welcome to bring their own.

In addition to bingo, the fundraiser will feature raffle prizes, auction baskets, desserts available by donation and interactive games such as “Heads or Tails.” A cash bar will be available, and the Jurassic Eats food truck will serve food from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit Catholic Charities programs that provide food, rent and utility assistance across Champaign and Piatt counties. According to the organization, demand for services through its Light of Hope and Parish Ministry of Financial Help programs more than doubled in 2025.

Catholic Charities also operates a food pantry at St. Patrick’s Church in Tolono and hosts a monthly senior luncheon open to the public. All services are provided free of charge.
