Dog Days of Summer Official Rules


The ILLINI RADIO GROUP will conduct the Dog Days of Summer Photo Contest from Monday, July 21,, 2025 through Sunday, August 17, 2025.  To participate in the contest, ILLINI RADIO GROUP listeners must submit a picture of their dog(s) through the Mix 94.5 WLRW website (www.mix945.com), the WIXY 100.3 website (www.wixy.com), the Rewind 92.5 WREE website (www.rewind925.com), the WYXY Classic 99.1 website (www.wyxyclassic.com) by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 3rd.  Beginning Monday, August 4th through Sunday, August 17th, visitors to the ILLINI RADIO GROUP websites listed above will vote for their favorite picture.  At the end of the contest period, the top vote getter from all submitted pictures will be the contest grand prize winner of $300 cash.  In the event two or more submitted pictures receive the same exact number of votes and are the highest votes received, the grand prize winner will be determined by random draw.  Listeners over 18 can participate for the chance to win up to $300 cash.  Every effort will be made to award prizes within 30 days of winning.  The public will be allowed to vote once per day, per website, during each round of the contest.

Submitted pictures must only contain the submitter’s dog(s).  Pictures containing unrelated people, including those in the background, will be disqualified and the submitter will be asked to submit a new picture.  Entries containing inappropriate content will be disqualified.  Any photograph submitted will become the property of ILLINI RADIO GROUP.  ILLINI RADIO GROUP has the final say of what content is appropriate for the website.

ILLINI RADIO GROUP contests are open to all eligible Illinois residents 18 or older who reside or work within 75-miles of the ILLINI RADIO GROUP studios and have not won anything on any ILLINI RADIO GROUP stations in the past 30 days, or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past six months.  Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner.  Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.  Employees of ILLINI RADIO GROUP, Saga Communications of Illinois, LLC and its parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families or each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a 100-mile radius of ILLINI RADIO GROUP’s main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse.  This includes individuals for whom the employee is legal guardian.

Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize.  Any attempt by a participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email address, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified.  In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules.  No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.  Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

No purchase necessary.  ILLINI RADIO GROUP’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize.  ILLINI RADIO GROUP will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes.  Winner will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals.
