Smugglers in Kazakhstan built a 1,600-foot pipeline under the River Chu to deliver vodka to neighboring Kyrgyzstan.

A couple in their mid-60s thought some ‘mean kid’ in their St. Augustine, Florida, neighborhood had been playing pranks on them after they found weeds, trash, fruit, rocks and other items in their mailbox over the past year. Then they were finding profane notes left in their yard. After installing a video surveillance system, the couple identified the ‘mean kid’ as the 29-year-old son of a neighbor. When cops asked him to explain Beau James Baker told them he thought the elderly couple “lived boring lives.”

A chimp named Brent who paints with his tongue has won $10,000 in an art competition. The contest — open only to chimps — was sponsored by the U.S. Humane Society. The chimp champ will donate his award to his home, a Louisiana great-apes shelter.

A woman told police in Flint, Michigan, recent problems with a neighbor started after he came by and asked if he could mow her lawn. She declined his offer but she said he decided to do the lawn anyway without her permission a couple days later. She went and talked to the man’s girlfriend and asked that he not do her lawn anymore. Then in some odd retaliatory move, she said he dumped dry concrete in her driveway and then onto her lawn.
