Two Sacramento, California, drivers were stung by bees hundreds of times after one car collided with a tree and angered a hive. How did one of the drivers escape? By crashing her car again. The 51-year-old woman fled in her car from the initial outpouring of bees, crashed, then leapt into a backyard swimming pool to escape the swarm. The other driver was neither as lucky nor as daring. A 17-year-old girl, she jumped out of her car and was covered in furious, stinging bees until a deputy found her. He sprayed her with a fire extinguisher and they ran to safety from the enraged painimals. Both drivers are currently being hospitalized.

A Colorado barbershop has announced that it won’t cut the hair of those customers who come into the store reeking of marijuana. Never mind that recreational use of pot is legal in the state — Hugo’s Barber Shop in Greeley, Colorado, posted a sign on the door reading “Please do not come in if you smell like marijuana, there are families with kids who don’t want to smell it. This is a business not your house, thank you.” The owner, Hugo Corral, explained that after about half of his customers arrived smelling of weed, he decided to implement the new policy about declining service to them if necessary.

… Is refusing service under these circumstances legal? According to Denver attorney Scott Robinson, “Business owners absolutely have the right to refuse service to someone who has been smoking pot, is drunk, or for any other reason as long as it’s not an unlawful or unconstitutional reason such as race, religion or gender.”
