A New York man posted a photo online of someone napping on his couch. Not one of his buds, or a relative, or even his dog. It was the cable TV technician. Apparently the problem arose when the technician got stuck on hold with Time Warner… despite the fact that he works with Time Warner. The techn arrived around 12:30 in the afternoon to replace the customer’s. He showed the tech where the existing one was and he got to work. When the customer went back to his office to continue working the tech made a call to activate/register the modem. After about 15 minutes the customer went back into the room and found the tech still on hold — and asleep. After the customer woke up the tech it was another 5 or 10 minutes before someone at Time Warner picked up and activated the modem.

A man suspected of robbing a video game store in Nashville only wanted to stop as long as necessary. So he called the store in advance and asked employees to hold the items he planned to steal. Police say the suspect called an hour before the store opened and reserved an Xbox One valued at $500, as well as game titles “NBA 2K14,” “Just Dance 2014″ and “Call of Duty: Ghosts.” He then showed up and robbed the store at gunpoint. Besides taking the items that he had reserved, he also stole $600 from the register. Cops are still looking for him.
