Nitwit News – December 13
Nitwit News – December 13

A New York man (Hiram Noel Mendez) who went to check on an acquaintance and found him dead at his home is accused of stealing some of the man’s artwork before calling 911. They say the man’s death isn’t considered suspicious.

A 28-year-old Florida (Ocala) mother left her crying infant in the car for more than 15 minutes while she was inside a liquor store Wednesday night. Bethany Douglas was uncooperative with two off-duty deputies who heard the 4-month-old girl crying and waited in the parking lot until the mother came out of the store. The deputies said they waited 16 minutes, and it was not known how long they child was left unattended before they arrived. Not fully grasping how the laws of this country work, when confronted by a deputy, Douglas said, “You can’t do anything, you’re off duty.”
