A couple of thieves in England faced off against police for five hours. Patrol officers noticed the nighttime break-in at a cafe, and soon had it surrounded. The men refused to come out, and even armed themselves with knives. The siege finally came to an end, and the men were charged. They had reportedly broken into the cafe for a bite of quiche

When a Florida judge allowed Angela Estrella to remove her ankle bracelet monitor, the accused attempted murderer allegedly fled, renting a car and driving north. Her rental car broke down and she called for a tow truck. When the tow truck operator turned his back Estrella allegedly jumped in and drove off. The truck was equipped with GPS and police apprehended Estrella when she stopped for gas.

A doctor in Russia was busted after he was called on to remove five grams of heroin from a drug runner’s stomach — but then turned in only two grams. Cops got suspicious when they arrived to collect the drugs and found the suspect and the doctor high and unresponsive.
