A semi-truck containing fragile cargo was reported stolen from behind a southwest Florida 7-Eleven. The truck’s driver told deputies he had parked the semi with a refrigerated trailer behind the 7-Eleven Sunday. When he returned later that night the truck and the 180,000 eggs inside were gone.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman on Tuesday for falsely reporting a school shooting as an April Fools’ Day prank. According to Spartanburg, South Carolina, authorities, Angela Timmons sent a text to her daughter claiming that shots had been fired at Virginia College, where Timmons works. The daughter responded, but didn’t receive an answer and called 911. More than a dozen law enforcement agents rushed to the school, where they found no evidence of a shooting. Timmons later admitted the text was just a joke. She also confessed to pulling similar pranks in the past.
