A makeshift pizza parlor in a trailer parked near a baseball field in Florida exploded when the pizza man started cooking up his pies. He wasn’t seriously hurt, but the place went up like a spicy meatball when a gas line reportedly malfunctioned.

Gwen Gayden walked out of her Houston home Saturday morning to her Dodge truck and found 8,000 honeybees clinging to a tire. Gayden called animal control, which was unable to help. Eventually, she contacted a local TV news channel, who called up someone called the “Pest Guru” who calmly took care of the situation with such high-tech equipment as a cardboard box and a little broom. The Pest Guru speculated that the bees were drawn to the truck’s maroon color.

Police in Wisconsin arrested a newlywed bride accused of stealing rings from the venue where her reception was held. Investigators said Connie Sykes was caught on security cameras stealing a small display case containing rings from a local jeweler during her wedding reception Sunday. Police said the woman’s bra insert was found near where the case was taken. The case contained 76 rings worth a total of about $1,000.
