Ellen’s U of I costume contest
Ellen’s U of I costume contest

After some speculation, Ellen’s plans on the U of I were reveled: a costume contest! And it was a kid who was dressed as the Joker who won and gets to fly to a taping of the Ellen show next week.

The costume contest will air on Ellen this Wednesday.

Estimates put the crowd at about 2,000 people. Margie Carter points out on Facebook: “I think it’s funny that the UofI students talked all this crap about having to go to class in the cold yet are standing out there for 2-3 hours just to be on camera. Most aren’t even dressed up, just out there for the 2 seconds of possible camera time.”

WIXY’s Orion Buckingham caught up with sophomore Tad Logullo, including his impression of The Joker, after the contest. Hear the conversation below.
