Steve is a 30-year veteran of radio and co-hosts the popular “Holstein & Co. Morning Show”. Born and raised in St. Louis, he’s been an active member of the Champaign-Urbana community for nearly 20 years.

His full time radio career began at WMCL in McLeansboro, in Southern Illinois. He’s also done morning shows in upstate New York, Kentucky and Virginia. Even as a kid Steve knew he wanted to be on the radio and would record song introductions and newscasts on a cassette recorder.

  • Steve and his co-hosts have won a CMA trophy for Personalities of the year.
  • He’s a member of the Stephens Family YMCA Board of Directors
  • He’s a regular blood donor at Community Blood Services.
  • He’s a member of the Illinois Marathon Committee.
  • He mentors a young man at Urbana High School in the CU 1 to 1 Mentoring program.
  • In his off time he’s at the YMCA, riding his bike, and helping his wife in their garden.
