George Strait will wrap up his final tour tomorrow night in Arlington, TX.  This makes me so sad!  While he won’t be touring anymore, George says he will continue to make new music. He has signed a deal with MCA Nashville to record 5 more albums.  He will also play shows every once in a while but he will not be planning anymore headlining tours. The final show is going to be quite an event with George’s friends, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride.  Wish I could be there!!

Tim McGraw is going to get personal Sunday night on a new episode of Oprah’s Master Class.  Tim will discuss his childhood, finding out Tug McGraw was his biological father, his decision to drop out of high school and move to Nashville and being the father of 3 daughters.  Oprah’s Master Class airs at 9:00 Sunday on OWN.

Chris Young had planned a 4 hour autograph signing session today at the CMA Music Festival but had to cancel.  After a fun night of celebrating with fans at his fan club party, Chris was at home making a late dinner and cut his hand.  He was taken to a Nashville hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. He will return to the stage tomorrow night for his planned appearance at LP Field.

Carrie Underwood took home the CMT Music Award for Video of the Year Wednesday night.  It marks the first time any artist has had that honor three years in a row.  She won for Blown Away in 2013 and Good Girl in 2012.

Carrie Underwood thinks Keith Urban is the sexiest man in country music.  I’m guessing she would have had a different answer in 1991. Check out this video.

Orthopedic trauma surgeon Dr. Dean Lorich says Bono underwent a five-hour surgery on his elbow in which three plates and 18 screws were inserted on Sunday night. Bono had another surgery to repair a fracture to his left pinkie on Monday. Lorich says Bono will need therapy but a full recovery is expected.
