MLB honors Boston

The playing of Neil Diamond’s 1969 hit,  Sweet Caroline, has been an unbreakable tradition at Fenway Park in Boston since 2002.  It plays in the middle of the 8th inning at every game.  Last night it was played at Major League parks across the country to pay tribute to the people of Boston, after monday’s tragedy at the Boston Marathon.  At Miller Park in Milwaukee, the theme song from Cheers was also played.  In New York, the Red Sox biggest rivals, the Yankees, flew a banner saying “We Stand United”.
