Kenny Chesney Plans To Take A Summer Off

Kenny Chesney has decided to take next summer off.  This will mark the second time since 2001 that Kenny has taken a summer off.  He says it’s weird to not be looking at stage designs for next year but he’s going to take some time to focus on his music.  He’ll release the follow up to Life On A Rock, next April. Kenny’s No Shoes Nation tour will wrap up August 24th.

Keith Urban and Fox have confirmed that he will return as a judge on the 13th season of American Idol.  According to Fox entertainment chief, Kevin Reilly, they have also been talking to Jennifer Lopez about a possible return but so far there is no deal.

Lee Brice is teaming up with House of Blues for a 15 city tour starting October 10th in Boston.  He is currently on tour with Brad Paisley.

Lady Antebellum is taking a break from the road right now while Hillary Scott spends time with her baby girl.  If you’re missing them, you can see their Own the Night concert special tomorrow night (Saturday) at 8:00 on GAC.  You’ll see backstage footage and performances of some of your favorite Lady A hits.

Just announced this morning, Ellen Degeneres will host the 2014 Oscars.  She first hosted the ceremony back in 2007.  The Academy Awards will be handed out March 2nd.
