Jake Owen Helps Raise Over $200,000 For Kids

Country artists joined together on January 11th for Concert for the Cause, a benefit show that raised over $200,000 for non-profit, Kids Cancer Alliance.  Jake Owen, Frankie Ballard and Jana Kramer were all part of the show.

I mentioned yesterday that an Ohio senator has introduced a bill to make Rascal Flatts the official country music group of the Buckeye State, home state of Gary  LeVox and Jay DeMarcus. That bill is causing some controversy.  Others feel that it’s not fair to ignore the other country artists from the state, Dwight Yoakam, Johnny Paycheck, Roy Rogers and Grandpa Jones.  Not sure if this will ever happen but it was a nice gesture.

Trace Adkins will return to the big screen this spring in Mom’s Night Out. He’ll play Bones, a tattoo artist.  This actually looks pretty funny.
