George Jones’ funeral service announced

George Jones will be laid to rest on Thursday in Nashville.  His funeral service will take place at the Grand Ole Opry House and will be open to the public.  In lieu of flowers, George’s family is asking for donations to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum or the Grand Ole Opry Trust Fund.

Taylor Swift has purchased a $17 million mansion in Rhode Island.  The 11,000 square foot home sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean on over 5 acres of land.  With 8 bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms, Taylor has plenty of room for guests.

The Band Perry and Kacey Musgraves have been added to the list of performers for this year’s Billboard Music Awards.  The show will air live on ABC, May 19th.

After last weeks arrest, Billy Currington has been dumped as the pre-race entertainment at the All Star race in Charlotte, May 18th.   He did say that Josh Turner will replace him.

US Weekly has reported that Simon Cowell has got his eye on Reba McEntire as a new X Factor judge.  Reba’s rep says the rumors are not true.
