Darius Rucker & More Appearing At The MDA Telethon
Darius Rucker & More Appearing At The MDA Telethon

Darius Rucker will perform his latest single, Radio, on the 48th annual national broadcast of the MDA Show of Strength Telethon Sunday night.  He began his relationship with the MDA a couple of years ago when he met Abbey Umali, former MDA National Goodwill Ambassador.  Darius says, “Two years ago, I met an incredible little girl, Abbey, who opened my eyes to the effects of muscle disease, and I wanted to help more. As much fun as it was performing for this year’s show, getting to reconnect with Abbey and meet other MDA families was a true highlight of the whole experience for me.”

Darius invited Abbey to perform with him at the Grand Ole Opry for the 2011 MDA telethon.

In addition to Darius’ performance, the 2013 telethon will feature, a Grand Ole Opry performance by Luke Bryan, appearances by Lee Ann Womack, Florence Henderson, Backstreet Boys and Ryan Seacrest. The MDA Show of Strength Telethon airs Sunday night on ABC.
